Diversity is the uniqueness that each of our employees brings to P&G. This includes the richness of differences in nationality, cultural heritage, religion, sexual orientation, disability, personal background, functional expertise, and styles of management. Very simply, we see diversity as a competitive advantage. We believe that a diverse company will outperform a homogeneous company by inspiring more creative and innovative solutions. |

In 1996, P&G Canada won the prestigious Merit Award for excellence in diversity from Human Resources Development Canada. Since then, we have continued to strengthen our diversity efforts in a number of ways:
- We recruit at schools across the country for talented people who represent the richness of Canada's diversity. We also partner with Inroads and Career Bridge, organizations that help minorities and newcomers to Canada gain valuable business experience.
- We increase awareness of style and cultural differences through mandatory Diversity Training for all employees.
- We strengthen our managers' capability as leaders operating in a diverse environment. We use various Leadership Assessment tools that enable managers to self-assess and gather input from direct reports to evaluate their leadership and foster continuous improvement in diversity.
- We encourage a supportive workplace with a number of internal organizations including Women's Network, French Canadian Network, Gay, Bisexual & Lesbian Network, Black Professional Network, and Asian Professional Network.
- We celebrate diversity in our workplace with festivities around cultural events like Chinese New Year and Black History Month.
