The Practice of Diversity
P&G’s clay street project exhibits our beliefs of Diversity & Inclusion.
At the clay street project we provide an environment outside of the day-to-day business. Here we create the conditions necessary to build high-functioning, empathetic teams. These teams then continue to solve the business’ most difficult challenges. During the course of a clay street session, participants tap into their own unique gifts, and also harness the collective intelligence of a diverse multifunctional team. A clay street session also impacts the way our teams view the world, work and interact.
The principles of Diversity & Inclusion are instrumental in assembling a clay street team that will go beyond preconceived notions about the product and the consumer to uncover new insights and convert them into a holistic experience from product innovation through consumer interaction.
Diversity & Inclusion is at the heart of all clay street sessions, whether we are revitalizing a brand, delivering breakthrough product innovations, creating new categories or inspiring culture change.
One of clay street’s success stories includes the launch of Ariel Excel Gel. The business challenged the clay street team to create a breakthrough and sustainable culture ripe for innovation. Along the journey, this team uncovered a key insight that created many winning sustainability concepts. Ultimately these generated the launch of a new product to the category, which has had global impact with substantial sustainability claims and results. After this success, the western European fabric care group extended even more culture work to the clay street project, realizing the exponential impact of these methods.
