P&G's Children's Safe Drinking Water program has been awarded the 2005 Stockholm Industry Water Award. This award, established by the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, recognizes innovation in a novel and sustainable approach to provide safe drinking water in the developing world.
The Health Sciences Institute’s Safe Drinking Water Program has been recognized as making an important contribution to help meet the United Nations Millennium Development Goal (MDG) of reducing by half the number of people without access to safe drinking water.
The Safe Drinking Water Program won the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) World Business Award. The award was presented in association with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and The Prince of Wales International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF) in Marrakesh in June 2004.
